There is something unshakable about being a child of God.
Not because life doesn’t come at you…
but because when it does, you are not standing alone.
Lately, I’ve walked through something that felt like warfare. My name was spoken about. Misrepresented. Pressed on every side. There were moments it felt like the wind got knocked out of me… over and over again.
But I made a decision.
I would not defend myself in the flesh.
I would not step out of character.
I would not return evil for evil.
I would pray.
I would trust.
I would stand.
Because God doesn’t need my help to be God.
“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” ~ Exodus 14:14
And can I tell you something?
He did exactly that.
At the very moment it felt like too much…
at what I can only call the 11th hour…
God stepped in.
Not quietly.
Not partially.
But powerfully.
Because that’s who He is.
“No weapon formed against you shall prosper…” — Isaiah 54:17
Weapons will form. Let’s be real.
People will talk.
Situations will rise.
Attacks will come.
But prosper?
Win?
Destroy you?
Not when you belong to Him.
There’s a story in Scripture that has been sitting heavy on my heart – Haman and the gallows in the book of Esther. The very trap he built for someone else… became the place of his own downfall. What he meant for harm, God turned – and it came back on him instead.
And I felt that.
Because the same thing meant to harm me…
God flipped it.
The gallows that were prepared?
They didn’t take me out.
They exposed truth.
They revealed hearts.
And they became the very place where God defended me.
“Do not be afraid… for I am with you.” ~ Isaiah 41:10
You don’t have to live in fear when you know who your Father is.
He is not weak.
He is not passive.
He is not unaware.
He is the Lion of Judah.
Mighty. Just. All-powerful.
And He defends His children.
“The Lord is my light and my salvation – whom shall I fear?” ~ Psalm 27:1
Listen to me, sis…
If you are walking through something where you feel attacked, misunderstood, or targeted – do not panic.
Do not strive.
Do not crumble.
Stand.
Pray.
Stay in integrity.
Keep your heart clean.
And trust that God sees everything.
Because He is not just your Savior…
He is your Defender.
Your rearguard.
Your high tower.
And when God defends you?
It’s over before it even begins.
