This morning, I had such a sweet time with the Lord.
Not polished. Not impressive. Just honest.
I went before Him in repentance – laying down pride, laying down my own agenda, laying down the subtle ways I try to take control or seek recognition. And in His kindness, He corrected me. Not with harshness… but with love. With that gentle conviction that reminds me whose I am.
And I found myself saying again what my heart keeps coming back to:
I don’t want my glory.
I want His.
I don’t want my plans.
I want His plan for my life.
Because He is good. He is faithful. He is just. And everything He gives, everything He allows, everything He builds – it’s right.
There’s something holy about coming back to that place of surrender. About remembering that faithfulness isn’t about platform or spotlight or recognition. It’s about the small things. The quiet obedience. The unseen yes. The humble heart posture when nobody is watching.
I want to be faithful in the little things – in my thoughts, my responses, my words, my service – trusting that in His timing, He entrusts us with more when it serves His purpose. Not ours.
Today my prayer is simple:
Jesus, keep my eyes on You alone.
Let me seek hard after You – not applause, not validation, not outcome – just You.
Let my life point to Your goodness, Your faithfulness, Your kindness.
If anything is built through me, let it bring You glory and never me.
Because truly… all I want is Jesus.
All I want is His will for my life.
And that is enough.
Lord, I come before You with an open heart. Thank You for Your kindness, Your correction, and Your mercy that continually draws me back to You. Forgive me for the ways pride creeps in, for the moments I chase my own plans or seek my own recognition. I lay those things down again today.
Align my heart with Yours. Teach me to be faithful in the small things. Shape my thoughts, my words, and my actions so they reflect You. Guard me from distraction, comparison, and self-promotion, and anchor me in humility and surrender.
Jesus, I want Your will above my own. I want Your glory above my comfort. Keep my eyes fixed on You and my spirit sensitive to Your leading. Use my life – however You choose – to show Your goodness, faithfulness, and love to others. Thank You for never giving up on me, for walking with me, and for reminding me that being Yours is enough.
In Your precious name,
Amen.
