Sometimes God moves us into a new season so quietly that we almost miss the significance of it.

A new door opens. A new opportunity appears. A new step of faith begins.

And at first, it might just look like a job change or a life transition.

But sometimes, it’s so much more than that.

Recently I stepped into a new role as the Alumni Coordinator at a local Recovery Center, and the more I sit with it, the more I realize this moment carries a deeper meaning in my story.

Because if you know my testimony, you know that my life has not been neat and tidy. There were years marked by brokenness, trauma, addiction around me, deep pain, and the kind of darkness that makes you wonder if life will ever feel whole again.

But God.

He met me in places I never thought He would go. He loved me when I didn’t know how to love myself. He slowly, patiently began redeeming the pieces of my life.

What once felt like ashes – He started turning into something beautiful.

And now here I am.

Walking into a place every day where people are fighting for healing. Fighting for freedom. Fighting for a new life.

I look around sometimes and quietly think,

Lord… only You could write a story like this.

Because the truth is, God rarely wastes our pain. The very places where we once struggled… often become the places where He allows us to bring hope to someone else.

Our wounds become wisdom. Our healing becomes testimony. Our story becomes a light for someone still finding their way out of the dark.

I’m still learning this new role. Still finding my footing. Still leaning on the Lord for wisdom and strength.

But one thing I know for sure…

When God redeems a life, He doesn’t just restore it.

He repurposes it.

And sometimes the very thing you thought disqualified you… becomes the very thing God uses to help someone else believe that healing is possible.

So if you’re walking through a hard chapter right now, please hear this:

Your story isn’t over.

God is still writing.

And one day you may look back and realize the very place that once felt like the end… was actually the beginning of a beautiful new chapter.

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” ~ Romans 8:28

Lord,

Thank You for being the Author of our stories. Even in the chapters that feel painful, confusing, or unfinished, You are still working behind the scenes.

Thank You for redeeming the broken places in our lives and gently turning our ashes into something beautiful.

Father, for anyone reading this who feels like their story has been marked by failure, loss, addiction, trauma, or regret, remind them today that their life is not beyond Your reach. You are the God who restores, heals, and makes all things new.

Give us the courage to trust You with the next chapter. Help us believe that the very places where we once felt the most broken can become the places where Your grace shines the brightest.

Lead us, guide us, and continue writing a story in our lives that brings glory to You.
